Our Team : Marsha Singer
For more than 35 years, Marsha Singer has been a prominent figure in the Dallas area, beginning in 1980 with her company The Dallas Directory. Originally founded to provide full service, on-site concierge and restaurant reservation services for conventions and tradeshows, soon the company was handling 35 conventions and markets per year along with thousands of reservations to local restaurants. In short order Singer was asked to serve on the Board of Directors of the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association (GDRA), which would become a pivotal turning point in the direction and success of the company.
In 1994 the World Cup came to Dallas and the GDRA was tapped to organize a party for the European Broadcasting Union at Fair Park. In an effort to showcase Dallas, the host committee requested that the GDRA orchestrate for local restaurants to be on-site offering food samples as well making arrangements for entertainment. Due to her established relationship with the Dallas restaurant community, the Executive Director of the GDRA selected Singer to spearhead this project. The result was more than 70 local restaurants on hand with entertainment being supplied by name country western artists to the delight of over 4,000 European broadcasters, local and State dignitaries and political figures. Broadcast over the world by the EBU, the party even included a kick-off motorcycle parade with Mayor Annette Strauss leading 250 riders.
Remaining a prominent figure in the industry, Marsha Singer and her staff have worked with Chambers of Commerce, Convention and Visitors Bureaus, both non-profit and profit organizations in coordinating fundraisers, and all manner of festivals and parties. Two Wheel Media is excited to have such a powerhouse as Marsha on board in a consulting role.
